Overview

The aim of the Programme is to develop eventually into an international Joint Master’s Degree Programme, bringing together a Consortium of Institutions from various countries, with the aspiration to contribute to the advancement of Medical Physics education and research, promoting the accumulated knowledge and practical skills towards the advancement and promotion of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic systems, methods and protocols, based on the utilization of faster and higher precision quality imaging and the exploration of all therapeutic methods and systems, including the usage of proton/ion beams for the treatment of carcinogenic and other diseases.

Adopting a properly accredited master level program of studies in Medical Physics and Diagnostic Imaging, the Programme aspires to share and disseminate the latest developments in the conventional areas of nuclear radiation, radioisotopes, medical dosimetry and scanning devices, together with the state of the art diagnostic and therapeutic systems, combining the various modalities to extract very fast and accurate imaging information serving to follow the fighting of cancer by all possible means (immune therapies, surgery, chemotherapy, irradiation of cancer cells by particles/ions.

The graduate Programme in Medical Physics and Diagnostic Imaging is mainly addressed to:
